Who we are
T1Fit is run by Ant Hocking in Auckland, New Zealand. Questions about your data: hello@t1fit.app.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the early access list.
- Where you signed up (for example the homepage or the calculator), so we know what's working.
- Which features you're most interested in, if you answer our optional question.
- How you use this website, through analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. This includes pages viewed, buttons clicked, your device type and approximate location. If you accept, we may also record anonymised sessions to improve the site. Everything you type is hidden in these recordings.
What we don't collect
The Insulin-to-Carb calculator runs in your browser. The numbers you enter and the results you get are not sent to us or stored.
Why we collect it
- To send you updates about T1Fit, including your early access invite.
- To invite you to help shape the product, if you want to.
- To understand how people use the site and improve it.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers.
Who helps us
We use trusted services to run the site. They only use your data to provide their service to us:
- Vercel (website hosting, United States)
- Supabase (stores the early access list, Australia)
- PostHog (analytics, European Union)
- Beehiiv (our newsletter, United States)
- Cloudflare (domain and email forwarding, United States)
Some of these store data outside New Zealand. We only use providers with privacy protections comparable to New Zealand law.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Email hello@t1fit.app.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
If you're in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object, to restrict processing and to data portability. We rely on your consent for emails and analytics, and you can withdraw it any time.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, contact us first. In New Zealand you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz). In the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site is for adults. If you're a parent or carer of a child with type 1 diabetes, you're very welcome. Please sign up yourself rather than your child.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email you.
